The aim of presenting Communication Conflict Situation method is to inform this new method and to make it send out. Communication Conflict Situation method is developed by Blakar and is adapted to computer system by Serkan Ozgun and Oguz Mulayim. In addition, it is the first that the computerized version of this study was held in Turkey, thus introducing this method was an important fact.
In communication field researches, a new method is needed to fill in the methodological blanks and determined happenings when the preconditions for succesful communication are disappeared . A new method should include communication situation, information absence and observation of participants’ information transfer abilities in the absent knowledge . Therefore, Blakar developed a new method well-matched with his own method, Communication Conflict Situation which is a design related with human’s daily life communication patterns. In this method, two subjects are given what they believe are identical maps. Subject A is called upon to explain a route to Subject B, whose map has, in fact, an additional street marked on it. This situation caused the communication conflict between subjects.
Associate Professor Meltem Narter, Associate Professor Serkan Ozgun, some psychology students and I examined what will happen in the absence of communication preconditions ( such as believing same here and now together, sharing social reality and ability to send message) which are really needed for communication. And these preconditions are tested.
This study is presented as a workshop with participation of115 people including the psychologists, the psychiatrist and the social workers in Bilgi University, Istanbul.
