Who is interactive in Turkey?

This entry is about the brief summary of interactive agencies in Turkey. I listed some of them below.

Trafo, provides direct and interactive marketing services for Rafineri. Trafo is doing online branding, creative strategies management, digital design, viral and guerrilla marketing, trend watching. Different from other interactive agencies,  event and organization management is one of their services. Some of its clients are Bridgestone, Lassa, Renault, Akbank, Is Bankasi, MSN, Microsoft, Intel, Sony Playstation, Boyner, T-box, Beymen, Hurriyet and Mey Icki.

Magiclick,is a professional e-services company. They’re doing creative design and development for websites, relational database design, programming and management, content management, feedback management, e-mail marketing, e-commerce, personalization and advergaming. Some of the clients are Abdi Ibrahim Pharma, Danette, Efes Pilsen, Fortis, Finansbank, Akbank, HSBC, Yapi Kredi, Borusan Holding, Sabanci Group, Vestel Group, Kale Group, Vestel, Elidor and Whirlpool. It has 9 awards at Golden Spider Awards (Altin Orumcek), 2007.

41-29 is another agency focused on digital marketing. I guess 41-29 is less than 2 years old, but they have a real fame in the industry, especially after Kristal Elma awards. Some of the clients are Ulker, Beko and Levi. I’m sure they have other clients that I don’t know. They have several awards from Horizon Interactive Awards.

Rabarba provides interactive services for Alameti Farika. There’s something secret about them, and don’t know why. Some of the clients I know  Petrol Ofisi, Turkcell and Garanti.

Project House defines itself not only as a marketing firm, also a consultancy house or a technology creator. Some of the services are advergaming, interactive marketing, mobile marketing, email marketing, search engine marketing, web analytics, database management, interactive media planning, desktop marketing tools and content management. Some of the clients are Coca Cola, Adidas, Four Seasons, Sony Ericsson, Rixos, Shaya, Petrol Ofisi, Olay, Microsoft, Toyota, Mercedes Benz, Avon and P&G.

C-Section is doing microsites, banner ads, facebook applications (like any other interactive agencies), websites, MSN applications and advergames. Some of the clients are Istanbul Modern Museum, Fiat, Anadolu Hayat, Arcelik, Milliyet, Beko and Ford.

Digital Mccann is the digital agency of McCann Erickson Turkiye and founded in 2007. They’re doing almost everything including microsites, websites, animation, advergame, content management, digital strategic planning, media planning, desktop marketing tools and all the other technological needs of an interactive campaign. Some of the clients are Intel, Loreal, Coca Cola, Goodyear, Saab, Becks, Lufthansa, Exxon Mobil, Cnbc-e, Radio Eksen and Capital Radio.

The other interactive agencies might be checked are Adinteractive, Litespell and Manadigital.

Awards are not the only criteria to decide the best interactive agencies for sure, however, at least to have an idea about the interactive agencies in Turkey, I should mention Kristal Elma 2008 awarded interactive agencies. 41-29 had two Kristal Elma awards, the best corporate web site award, Levis.com.tr and the best advergame, Ulker Coco Star. Rabarba had two awards, the best microsite, Garanti and the best online ad with Petrol Ofisi. And, C-Section had the best microsite award with Arcelik.

I think, in addition to microsites, web sites, advergames and  banner ads, interactive agencies should do more work on RSS advertising, search engine marketing, social search engine marketing and mobile marketing. Especially, in the very near future, there’ll be a booming in PDA’s with Vodafone’s Iphone launch in Turkey.
