After Google Inc. acquired Youtube, they moved into in-video advertising. In the new in video Google/Youtube advertising, text ads are imposed over the video. Clicking on the advertising text results in a video advertisement appearing on top of the player.
I don’t know yet Google’s in-video advertising is related to the website content. If it is not it can’t be as much effective as text ads, for instance Google Adsense. Because, video ads are more frustrating than simple text ads, especially when they are not content related. As far as I know, Google doesn’t have a tracking video content technology, but I will search for it.
