This summer, I did my internship at Ebay-Gittigidiyor.com.
In February, Ebay has acquired a minority stake in GittiGidiyor.com, the leading online marketplaces in Turkey. After I learned this acquisition, began to dream about working there. Then, the dream came true, and I was there after a 1.5 hour trip to the Asian part of Istanbul.
Here is what I learned, what I saw there …
I did my internship in two department. First two weeks I was in the advertising sales department, the place about media planning, and persuade the customers to give advertising to Ebay. It was all about CPM costs of different types of bannner ads.
In my third week, I was in the creative department and worked with the leading creative designer of Ebay Turkey, prepared campaigns to highlight specific product categories such as Adidas Super Star model, Duty Free and Victoria’s Secret parfums and underwear, wrote crestive copy and turned them into attractive products for online shoppers.
Beside all these stuff, the most important thing that I learned there “how to sell your own product”. There are many tricks to be a good seller which also can learn from the website of Ebay.
